Member Protection Workshop Series

The world of public education is continuously changing. Along with change comes an ongoing need to refresh what we already know and to acquire new knowledge. Professional development is a responsibility we as teachers have to our students and ourselves.

The Hamilton-Wentworth Occasion Teacher Local recognizes that there are dangers and emerging issues 'out there' for members and this Annual Signature Workshop Series represents our promise to provide members with as much current, proactive, preventative PD information and learning as possible. We strongly encourage all members' participation whether you are a new teacher, an experienced OT or a retiree doing Occasional Teaching. The fact that every teacher will have a professional difficulty of a stress-related illness during their career underscores the importance of these workshops. Remember, 'It Can Happen to You'
